With travel restrictions easing, the World seems to be adjusting to the new "normal".  Businesses are dusting themselves off, those that still function, and the self-employed are looking like something out of an apocalyptic Sci-Fi movie, 18 months into battling through the costs of life, many of whom have done so with massively reduced incomes and very little or no support from government (so pleased I've paid tax and national insurance for over 30 years!)  Anyway.....somehow Auto-Genie is still here, still busy and still ready for a detailing punch-up!  Bookings for detailing now stretch into 2022, with bookings for training and mentoring running into November at the time of typing this. 
Trade relations with Pyramid Car Care and HD Car Care are at the fore.  These carefully curated friendships have helped me to survive the nuclear winter of Covid, and I am sure that they will help me and the business for years to come.  I've invested thousands into HQ, so now we've got ramps, better lighting, more tools and equipment to boost efficiency as well as better amenities for clients like the "world's best coffee machine" as well as WiFi for those who want to browse or work whilst their car is fettled.  We even have a gym, so if working your muscles is just as important as flexing a clean car, we've got you covered!
We're also stocking selected items from HD Car Care, Pyramid and Dodo Juice as well as choice accessories to enable you to detail your own car, or buy gifts for loved ones and their cars.

Somewhere in amongst that little lot, I'm getting more training of my own in the ever-deepening rabbit hole that is wet-sanding and machine polishing....it never stops!

So, time to kick the blog off.  Social media is getting to become a tidal wave of white noise.  So many distractions.  So many frustrations (there are only so many times you can be asked the question "How much to do my car?" with no supplied context of car type, condition, work standard required.....
Anyway, these blog updates will capture the flavour of being in the workshop or on the road, as a detailer with an insight into the cars, but more about the graft and challenges.  I hope that you find them of interest. I will, as always, do my best
