This magnificent Porsche 993 Targa was booked in by Clark & Carter as the vehicle has had a refresh whilst in their custody, and the car's owner wanted it detailed prior to his collection. The vehicle was cleaned and decontaminated by the team at C&C, so my brief was to machine polish the paintwork to a high standard of gloss and clarity, before protecting the paintwork. In addition to this the freshly refurbished Speedline alloys were also treated to some protection.
Paint was assessed via direct and diffused LED lighting, as well as halogen and natural lighting. Some defects were beyond light wash marring but overall, the car was in excellent condition and the Ocean Blue paint was quite something after a light polish with Cartec 9000 via Rupes yellow foam pads on DA and rotary. This combination was selected as the amount of clearcoat removed was minimal but the improvement in clarity and gloss was substantial. All polishing results were checked after thoroughly degreasing the panels, and inspecting each panel with LED and natural light where possible. Paint was protected with Soft99 Fusso Coat v2. This adds visual depth to the paint, and provides a "real world" 6 months plus of protection against the elements, making it super easy to maintain for the first year. It really is one of the most hydrophobic sealants I use, and has proven itself to be terrific value for money with any enhancement detail. Once the paintwork was complete, the glass was thoroughly cleaned using CarPro Eraser and several microfiber cloths. Lastly, the alloys were degreased to ensure the best possible adhesion between the painted finish and the sealant This detail only took 5.5 hours so proof positive that efficient processes can lead to great results quickly. This saves the client money, and in turn ensures that the car is returned to the client as quickly as possible.
